In preparation for the Trip to the CORSA National Convention or just summer driving season Mike held another working tech session at is home. Again Mike served up a great cook out.

2011 Spring Dust Off

HACOA members met at the home of John and Linda Mellies for the 1st annual Spring Dust Off. May 15, 2011

2010 HACOA Holiday Party

The forty one members that met at Kevin and Ada\'s for this years holiday party enjoyed some good drink, good food and light hearted fun. Social hour featured homemade beer by Kevin and some of great tasting hors-d\'oeuvres prepared by Ada. The dinner was catered by Two Men and a Grill, offered the choice of great tasting chicken or a delicious rib-eye steak. After dinner a white elephant gift exchange with the usual amount of stealing. The night ended to soon, but a good time was had by all.

Armacost Museum

HACOA invited the KC MG club to visit the Armacost Museum in Grandview Mo. The museum focuses on Studebaker automobiles, but has a many other brands. Displays include a 1950 Gas Station, along with a Service Station and a Diner. The museum also features toys, peddle cars, bicycles, tricycles and motorcycles.

Fall 2010 Working Tech Session

Before the Round Up Mike and Sandy Dawson hosted a working tech session so members could get their cars ready for the trip to Tulsa. As fuel pumps had become a problem as of late every car and truck involved had its fuel pump removed, inspected, corrected if necessary and reinstalled. Several pumps were found to have unseated valves. At 4 we took a break for a little bar-be-que. Mike went from head mechanic to head chef.

2010 Round Up in Tulsa

The 2010 Great Plains Corvair Round Up was held in Tulsa, Oklahoma from September 24th through the 26th. Green Country Corvair Group hosted a fine event. There may have been records set for the most number of valve cover racers 20, the most cars in Concours 16, and the most Corvairs in attendance at a Great Plains Round Up. Fun was had by all.

Trip to Arrow Rock, Mo 2010

On September 11, 2010 the group attended Pump Boys and Dinettes at the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock MO. Arrow Rock is famous for, well , the rocks were great for making arrow heads and tools. The flint and limestone that made up the surrounding bluffs supplied the native people with material to manufacture tools and arrow heads. Archeological digs show evidence of flint napping for a period of 12000 years. One of Missouri best known artist George Caleb Bingham keep a residence in the town. But this day we were there to see \"Pump Boys and the Dinettes\" and work on our farmers tan. Before the play we had lunch at the Hustons Tavern and after the play we stopped in a at Hodgepodge Ice Cream Shop for some dessert. A good time was had by all.

Trip to Strategic Air and Space Museum

On July 31, 2010 HACOA met up with Corvair Midwest at the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland, NE. Halfway between Lincoln and Omaha. After touring the museum we gathered our Corvairs around the Atlas Missile at the front of the museum.

Thunder in the Valley 2010

HACOA members meet at Bandana\\\'s BBQ for lunch then head out to Grain Valley\\\'s Thunder in the Valley Racetrack to display their Corvairs and take some laps around the track.
